One of the things I love to do is fold incredibly small cranes. The smallest I’ve ever done was created from a piece of paper 1/4″ square. The final crane looked uncomfortably close to a spitball. This one is from a piece of paper just a hair over 3/8″ square. It photographs better and looks crisper than the smaller one. It also has the added feature that I can fold it with my fingers and not a magnifying glass and toothpicks.
Just finished the improved and updated version of my graphic resume. Now when I see a new job opening I can pounce on it. This new version has rewritten and in many cases expanded job descriptions and the addition of a several month long assignment I had for a commercial real estate firm. So far this is the most clearly I’ve ever communicated what I’ve been doing and what I want to do in the future. Hopefully it will have the impact that the first version did.
If you hadn’t seen this, myself and some friends of mine just completed an animation starring the mighty and terrible Cthulhu in his version of the Old Spice ad. Many thanks to Jace, Jack, Linda, Sam and the elder god himself! You can view it here and don’t forget to purchase a great looking Sanity Roll tshirt as well!
Just a quick but happy note. I have finally finished populating the galleries with my artwork. Please take a moment and check it out!
I have been adding to and reformatting this site and will be for the next week or so. You can see lots of stuff; however, please don’t think that it is as finished or polished as I might normally make it due to the changes. In the end you will have access to loads more artwork of mine and the navigation will also be simpler.
Lot’s of exciting changes both happening and on the horizon for my webcomics. First Quitting Time is going to start publishing twice per week. God’s Playing Poker will has moved to publishing on Friday. All of these moves are in anticipation of the release of my new comic Chapel Hill. I don’t have a date for it to go live yet. There is still waay to much to do, but what I can tell you is that it will be published 3 times per week and will be in color! Stay tuned
recently had a dispute with the company who hosts my portfolio site, in short they kept trying to sign me up and bill me for stuff that I didn’t want or need, and so had to re-direct to a WordPress blog. This has several bonuses for me including the fact that I can update with somewhat greater ease; however, it does have some negatives as well primary among them is that I have to work within a particular framework instead of designing the site from scratch as I should. In the long run it will be better for me because I won’t be getting opt-out emails from my hosting service for stuff I don’t want, leaving me more time to draw, paint and otherwise push pixels and vectors around.
Thank you for stopping by and havning a look around!
