This was originally a 3d rendering of a building pictured during the day that I turned into a night shot.

Crane wars!

Got challenged to a tiny crane war by a friend on Facebook. I’m going to call it a draw at this point; however, if she can fold a crane from smaller than a 1/4″ square piece of paper then I’ll accept defeat gracefully. Below are some pictures of the tiny tiny cranes.

One of the smallest origami cranes I’ve ever made.

One of the things I love to do is fold incredibly small cranes. The smallest I’ve ever done was created from a piece of paper 1/4″ square. The final crane looked uncomfortably close to a spitball. This one is from a piece of paper just a hair over 3/8″ square. It photographs better and looks crisper than the smaller one. It also has the added feature that I can fold it with my fingers and not a magnifying glass and toothpicks.

Back in New York!

Posted in News on July 19, 2011 by Michael Moss

Glad my move from SF to NYC is largely finished. UPS made my boxes look like some demented origami art; however, most things seem to have come through unscathed. I still wish that I could’ve driven across the country with my wife. That would’ve been nice.

All that remains is to fill in all the normal blanks. Place to live, job, car and so forth. That’s right! I said car. At least at the moment it will be a necessity. I’m also excited at the prospect of getting a bike. SF is a terrible place to bike, being full of monsterĀ  hills, NYC seems mild in comparison. That is if you don’t count the monster traffic/aggressive driving. Not that SF doesn’t have its share of that too.

I’m looking forward to many new and engaging relationships with clients and interesting projects!
